Sorry Ron,
I humbly bow down you are correct there, I was simply pointing out historical fact as well as some humor. The Air Force is actually if memory serves right the newest of the Military Units, I believe it was WWI (Hmmm?) that they seperated from the army, formly known as the Air Corp.

Yes, it is a good thing SAS has no pee test, not worried myself. But on the other hand any prior service man would know not all things can be tested by pee tests,,lol

I love that the services rib each other about who is the best. I have several buddies in the Army and Marines and we do nothing but give each other crap, but it's all in fun. And it was 1947 that the Army Air Corps was made into the US Air Force, an independent branch of service.

I do remember the dreaded "random" pee tests....and you're right navyboy, not all things can be tested by pee tests..lol

I currently work with Joint Staff at the Pentagon and we are always talking smack but when it comes down to it we all need each other.

They have a Master Chief there right now. But, to your question no I haven't. Did you know they are known as CS instead of MS as of about a year and half ago? (Culinary Specialist)

is there even any question! There can be only one green eyed giant in the land of warfare! The Army gets the most done. Not tryin to bash any other branch. the air force is kinda a joke. thats like askin for driveby's with gangs in compton. the marines are a more of a weapon than a force, they get sent in to take the brunt of a blow and make way for the rest of the armed forces. The navy is like the greyhound of armed forces. The army does all the crap details and workhorse ventures along with policing as well as long-term occupations which makes them really diverse. ya cant really count the national guard or reserves because the have opportunities to live regular lives. Might as well name them the peace corps with optional duties.

Thank you for your service. I too served in the Middle East, so I understand. Just give the other branches a little more credit.

well I like all branches equally..........................but my favorite specifics are

75th Army Rangers
160th Soar "NightStalkers" -hell yeah.
NAVY Seals
24TH Marine Expeditionary Unit (Spec ops cabable)
3rd Army Division
101st Airborne Divison(Screaming Eagles)

I was talkin to one of my friends about the navy the other day, and one thing he said is that the navy HATES the marines (love hate relationship ) Because he knows a girl that's crew on a navy ship and he said that they were all pissed at the marines because they ate all their food, they stunk, and were very loud (yup that sounds like marines, haha:P)

ok i said this is a post a few months ago about fav military branch, i'll restate that in a different way

There is no #1 ultimate U.S. Branch
First we have the Army- they came first, they're the backbone of our fighting forces and provide us with our numbers
Then we have the Marines - a little more beefed up than the army, but not as great in numbers, they aren't the best because how do you think these marines and army troops are deployed on the land they fight on?

That's right, the Navy and the Air force, s the navy transports these soldiers across the seas, and the airforce drops them in behind enemy lines and save them through close air support

Then there's the coast guard, these guys don't get the credit they deserve, they protect our international borders and our ports and coasts from smuggling, terrorists, and they rescue countless amounts of people.

But then again, what are we going to fight with if we just had a navy, and airforce? What happens if jets and helicopters and boats won't cut it? Then we have the marines&army, and same for them

That is why there isn't an ultimate branch of the famed U.S. Military, it's because they all depend on each other as a team, to further enhance the effectiveness of each specific duty(ies) they have. Which makes the U.S. military one of the best in the world.

So don't say - Yeah the marines are the best, they kick everyone else's asses...well guess what, How do they get where they fight? Who saves them from time to time?

And don't say the airforce sucks, because if we had no airforce, we would have alot of countless dead soldiers from all of the wars we've foughten.

Don't say the Army sucks, or is the best, just because a main portion of the army is basic infantry divisions, isn't a bad thing, they're soldiers just like everyone else and they're just as dedicated to their duties as the rest.

And the navy, these guys are the main reasons for transporting the other 3 branches to the places they need to go, and they also have special teams of soldiers that get a job done that if the marines or army might have tried, probably would have ended up with numerous casualties.
