Any advice before I start ordering shiznit?

I plan to OC the processor. Decided against the massive 9700 Zalman.

The case might be a tight squeeze with the Nvidia 8800, but it has a massive rebate and great design.

Had a very hard time picking out a mobo, seems like no one is perfect, this seems close.

Excited about this sweet LCD monitor to replace my huge 21" Trinitron CRT.

Plan on running a RAID 0, I've had bad luck with seagates. Those Hitachi's are right on the money. Might get a 3'rd for data backup.

Slightly hesitant on Vista 32bit, but as with everything released early, support will only get better. I plan on using this computer for over 4 years like my Dell. Plenty of time for the OS to mature.

After $130 in mail rebates makes for a grand total of $1720.

A steal considering my dell was around $5000.

Looks good bro. I have windows Vista on my new laptop and it is awesome but of course Microsoft has some tweaking to do. As far as the case, I purchased mine from and didn't have any problems with them.

So far it's amazing. It took awhile to route cables and set up the raid, but it was worth it. It's a rock solid PC. OS install was a breeze.

Vista is very cool. Takes getting used to though.

Now it's time to install some games and crank the video card!!

Are you planning on running multi graphics cards and multi hard drives? 600 watts is more than enough in most cases. Read for more info on PSU sizing.

For graphics card: NCIX has 8800GT for $229 USD. Or the for $219.

If you want to be ahead of the curve - the brand new for $562
